The film Paperboys was released in the Spring of 2001. The project began as a curious look at the state of the American paper route and quietly evolved into an intimate look at this institution as tradition rather than a simple boyhood occupation. The film observes the daily routines of five boys who maintain the classic, bicycle-delivered paper route. The discipline imposed by the job helps shape the young men’s value system preparing them for future responsibility, time and money management, community participation, and ultimately, adulthood.
